Somtochukwu Okwuoha, a 26-year-old Nigerian student at Dundee University, Scotland, has been sentenced to 40 months in jail for making terrorist threats against the university.
The Perth Sheriff court ruled for his deportation after serving the term. Okwuoha claimed association with ISIS and threatened to bomb the university, also planning a chemical attack on the city.
The court highlighted his abusive behavior towards a fellow student, leading to his suspension. Witnesses described Okwuoha's alarming threats of mass murder, bombs, and biological weapons.
The sheriff emphasized the campaign of terror he waged against individuals, causing fear and disruption. The case raises concerns about campus security and the balance between free speech and public safety.
