Nigerian artist Burna Boy makes history as the first Nigerian to achieve six entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His latest single, “We Pray,” featuring Coldplay and others, debuts at No. 87, surpassing fellow artists Tems and Wizkid.

Grammy Award-winning Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, has made a remarkable achievement by becoming the first Nigerian artist to secure six entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. This significant milestone was reached with the debut of his latest collaboration, “We Pray,” which features Coldplay, Little Simz, Elyanna, and Tini Stoessel. The track entered the chart at No. 87.

With this new addition, Burna Boy surpasses fellow Nigerian artist Tems, who has five Billboard entries, and Wizkid, who initially made waves on the chart with four. Other Nigerian stars such as Rema, CKay, Fireboy, Davido, and Lojay have each made a single entry.

Burna Boy is now just one song away from breaking the record for the most Billboard Hot 100 entries by an African artist, currently held by the South African rock band Seether. Adding to his accolades, Burna Boy has also become the first African artist to sell out London Stadium not once, but twice, a venue that holds between 60,000 and 80,000 fans.
