Pastor Adeboye urges Nigerians to seek God's help amid hardship, as labor strike over minimum wage commences despite negotiations.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Rccg, has urged Nigerians facing hardship to call on God for help. Speaking at the RCCG headquarters, Adeboye said, "If you need provision, if things are hard...call on the one whose name is Jehovah El-Shaddai, the God who is more than enough. Call on Him and He will meet your needs."

His message comes as the organized labor unions have commenced a nationwide strike to demand an increase in the minimum wage from the government's proposed N60,000 to N494,000. Talks between labor leaders and the National Assembly failed to avert the strike.

Nigerians took to social media to react, with mixed responses. Some welcomed Adeboye's spiritual guidance during tough economic times, while others questioned seeking divine intervention for systemic issues. One user tweeted, "One wise man once said 'Nigeria's problem don turn Jesus.'" Another remarked, "If u still dey go church for this country na Mumu u be."

Others called for more pragmatic solutions, with a user stating, "Make I no talk Wetin Dey my mind sha." Another simply said, "Nonsense."
