Chef Damilola Adeparusi, known as Chef Dammy, has begun professional culinary training at the Hospitality Business School in Lagos on a full scholarship. The initiative, backed by Horecabb Mentors, Ofadaboy, and the Ekiti State Government, has sparked excitement among Nigerians, who applaud her dedication and perseverance in the culinary industry.

Nigerian chef Damilola Adeparusi, widely known as Chef Dammy, has taken a significant step in her culinary career by enrolling in a professional culinary training program at the Hospitality Business School in Lagos. She is pursuing a Professional Culinary Art Chef diploma under a full scholarship facilitated by Horecabb Mentors, Ofadaboy, and the Ekiti State Government.

Chef Dammy gained national recognition in June 2023 after attempting a cook-a-thon, which showcased her passion for cooking. Now, she is refining her skills in a structured academic setting. Excited about this new journey, she shared a picture of herself in a chef’s uniform on Instagram, expressing her joy at officially beginning her training.

In her post, she expressed deep gratitude to her sponsors, including food entrepreneur Oluwatobi Fletcher (Ofadaboy), Dr. Mekwuye Eric of Horecabb Mentors, and the Ekiti State Government, led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji and First Lady Yemi Oyebanji. She credited their support for making this opportunity possible.

Her scholarship also includes five additional free courses to help her develop a well-rounded culinary education. Many Nigerians took to social media to celebrate her progress, praising her determination and encouraging her to stay focused.

The initiative, which was first announced at the Ofada Rice Day Festival in December 2024, highlights the growing support for young culinary talents in Nigeria. Chef Dammy’s story continues to inspire aspiring chefs, proving that dedication and perseverance can open new doors in the industry.
