In a scathing criticism, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the recent increase in fuel prices to over N1,000 per liter, calling it a "brutal assault" on Nigerians.

The PDP's National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, accused the Tinubu-led administration of exacerbating the economic hardship faced by millions, with inflation rates exceeding 34% and unemployment over 40%.

The PDP asserts that the government's policies, including the secretive management of the petroleum sector, have plunged over 150 million Nigerians into poverty. The party urges the government to reverse the fuel price hike, warning of the severe socio-economic consequences.
