The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced the disconnection of 25 customers, including several government agencies, for outstanding electricity bills. The disconnection will occur on June 3, 2024, if debts remain unpaid.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has issued a notice to 25 customers, including prominent government and military agencies, warning of impending disconnection due to outstanding electricity bills.

The DisCo emphasized that disconnections will commence on June 3, 2024, for all clients who fail to settle their debts by the specified date.

According to the notice released on Saturday, timely payment of electricity bills is essential for the continued operation and improvement of AEDC’s infrastructure.

This, in turn, ensures the delivery of efficient and reliable service to the community. The company urged customers with outstanding bills to make payments promptly to avoid any service interruptions.

The full list of customers with outstanding bills includes:

  2. Nigerian Air Force
  3. Defence Headquarters (HQ)
  4. Federal Capital Development Authority
  5. Kogi State Government
  6. Niger State Government
  7. Nigerian Police Force HQ
  8. Nigerian Army Barracks
  9. Federal Ministry of Industry
  10. Nigerian Police Force HQ
  11. Nigerian Army Barracks
  12. Power House
  13. Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) House 1
  14. Head of Service
  15. Ministry of Education
  16. Ministry of Women Affairs

Additionally, AEDC mentioned that all other customers owing payments are also subject to disconnection if they do not clear their debts by the deadline.
