Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara recently made a significant donation of N200 million to Omega Power Ministries (OPM) Worldwide, an initiative founded by Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere. The announcement took place during a celebratory event marking the church's 18th anniversary and Apostle Chinyere's 51st birthday at Doctor Jesus’s City in Mbodo, Aluu, near Port Harcourt.

During his speech, Fubara highlighted the crucial role of community support for the church, asserting that the church's achievements directly impact the state’s development. He expressed gratitude for the steadfast prayers and backing he has received from Apostle Chinyere throughout his political journey. "I am delighted to celebrate this occasion with you, especially considering the support you have provided us," he noted.

The governor’s contribution is aimed at enhancing the church's infrastructure, particularly a facility for OPM's television station, which is intended to host guests for future programs.

Fubara addressed the current political turmoil in Rivers State, attributing the unrest to a struggle for control over state resources. He encouraged the community to stay engaged and supportive, saying, "What you owe us is just one thing: Continue to pray for us." He reaffirmed his pledge to manage state resources wisely for the benefit of all citizens.
