The National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, asserted the party's position as the prime alternative to both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) during the party's national convention in Abuja.
Kwankwaso, a former defense minister, highlighted the party's commitment to addressing insecurity and poverty in Nigeria, emphasizing the need for responsible governance to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens.
He praised the party's progress and unity, citing the timely amendment of its constitution, slogan, and logo as pivotal steps towards future electoral victories. Kwankwaso outlined the party's vision for education, promising to prioritize access to quality education for all Nigerian children.
He also underscored the party's determination to tackle insecurity and poverty, stating that the NNPP possesses the necessary resources to achieve these goals.
Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State echoed Kwankwaso's sentiments, urging party members to remain united and committed to advancing the NNPP's ideals.
The convention, observed by representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), witnessed the approval of the party's amended constitution, logo, and slogan, signaling the NNPP's readiness for future political engagements.
