"Distinguished Senator Abdul Ningi, you are a very resourceful person needed in the 10th senate," Akpabio told Ningi on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday. "Your electorate from Bauchi central senatorial district voted for you. You are welcome, and let bygone be bygone."
Ningi, who has previously served as House Leader and Deputy Senate Leader, expressed gratitude for the gesture, saying the national assembly is like a "home" to him. He also thanked his state governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, and the people of Bauchi for their support during his suspension.
