In Anambra State, seven suspects, including five teenagers, were apprehended for involvement in cultism and robbery, as announced by the Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga.
The arrests occurred during a patrol by the Special Anti-Cult Squad along UNIZIK Junction, where a tricycle was intercepted, leading to the capture of Chukwuemka Ozoekwe and subsequent arrests.
The suspects confessed to being members of the Vipers Cult Group and admitted to planning robberies before their apprehension.
Acting Commissioner of Police, Fidelis Ogarabe, urged continued efforts to combat crime, promising justice for residents.
The fleeing suspects remain at large as investigations proceed for legal action.
