The late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, will be buried in Abuja on Friday, according to his family. This was revealed by his elder brother, Moshood Lagbaja, during a condolence visit by the St Charles Grammar School Osogbo Old Boys Association (SCOBA) in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.

Moshood shared that the military had not yet released his brother’s remains to the family. However, he assured those present that the late military leader would receive a dignified burial in the nation's capital this week.

During the visit, Engineer Adesina Salami, the first Vice President of SCOBA, paid tribute to the late General. He described Lt. Gen. Lagbaja as an outstanding individual who made significant contributions both to his alma mater, St Charles Grammar School, and to the Nigerian Army. Salami emphasized the legacy of dedication, discipline, and selfless service that Lagbaja leaves behind.
