NNPC will act as the sole distributor for petrol while oil marketers can purchase diesel directly from the refinery. Dangote aims to deliver 25-30 million litres daily.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has announced the deployment of over 100 trucks to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery to facilitate petrol distribution, with more trucks expected.

This move comes as Dangote Refinery prepares to commence petrol supply on Sunday, September 15, 2024. The government clarified that while oil marketers can purchase diesel directly from the refinery, NNPC will serve as the sole distributor of petrol.

The refinery began production on September 3 and is projected to deliver 25 million litres of petrol daily in September, increasing to 30 million litres in October.
