Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, a staunch ally of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso and a representative in the House of Representatives, announced on Sunday that the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) is prepared to enter into a political alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During a Special Prayer organized in honor of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kwankwaso, and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Jibrin expressed the party's openness to collaboration with other political entities.
The event, attended by 1,000 Ulamas in Kano, included prayers for Governor Yusuf's success at the Supreme Court. Jibrin emphasized his close ties with President Tinubu and his commitment to fostering a harmonious relationship between the president and Kwankwaso. He declared the NNPP's readiness for collaboration, alliance, or merger with any party for the benefit of Nigerians.
The lawmaker also pledged to utilize his political network to address issues in Kano politics and ease tensions surrounding the governorship seat. Additionally, Jibrin demonstrated his commitment to education by hosting 5,000 primary school kids, providing them with school kits, and highlighting government initiatives on free education and school feeding programs
