Akwa United striker Sani Suleiman and Sunshine Stars coach Kennedy Boboye have been honored with the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Player and Coach of the Month awards for May/June. Suleiman, who netted five goals during the review period, has now won the award twice this season, amassing a total of 11 goals for the former NPFL champions. His outstanding performance saw him surpass other notable players such as Christian Pyagbara, Chijioke Mbaoma, Jonathan Alukwu, John Bassey, and Godwin Obaje.

On the coaching front, Kennedy Boboye's strategic prowess led Sunshine Stars to four victories and one draw in six matches.
