A chairman of the Shokeye estate in Ogun State, Nigeria, has criticized Governor Dapo Abiodun for sending a single bag of rice as a palliative to his estate, which consists of 147 houses. In a video statement, the man expressed his confusion and disappointment, saying that he didn't know how to divide the single bag of rice among 147 households.

He addressed the government, specifically mentioning Governor Dapo Abiodun, and stated that they should refrain from offering such inadequate palliatives. He emphasized that the residents of Shokeye estate are not hungry or begging for assistance, and this gesture is an insult to their community.

The man concluded by announcing his decision to return the bag of rice and suggested that it should be given to Governor Abiodun's political ally, Bola Tinubu. He reiterated that the people of Shokeye estate refuse to be insulted and implied that such actions are not helpful in addressing the needs of the community.
