Four aspirants vying for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket in Ondo State have jointly called for the cancellation of the ongoing primary, alleging fraudulent activities by the seven-man committee led by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State.
The aggrieved aspirants, including Wale Akinterinwa, Olusola Oke, Olugbenga Edema, and Dayo Faduyile, accused the committee of bias and irregularities, urging the national chairman of the party, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, to intervene.
They expressed concerns over the integrity of the primary process and warned that any result announced would lack legitimacy. The aspirants emphasized the need for a credible and transparent election, urging the party leadership to address their grievances promptly to avoid further escalation of tensions.
As the controversy unfolds, the fate of the APC's gubernatorial candidacy in Ondo State hangs in the balance, with stakeholders closely monitoring developments within the party.
