Gunmen have struck the heart of political activism in Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, leaving the community in shock and mourning. Alaba Abe, fondly known as Excel, met a tragic end as he was brutally killed in his Supare home on Saturday. Excel, a coordinator for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers Independent Council (LACO-FSIC), was a dedicated member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), campaigning tirelessly for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The news of Excel's murder reverberated through the political circles, prompting swift reactions from LACO-FSIC officials and the broader APC community. Kayode Fasua, the State Information Director of LACO-FSIC, condemned the senseless violence and called on the police to ensure the safety of political activists amidst rising tensions.
