Silekunola Moronke Naomi, the ex-wife of the Ooni of Ife, and Oriyomi Hazmat, CEO of Agidigbo FM, have been remanded in Agodi Correctional Centre, Oyo State, following their involvement in a tragic stampede. Naomi had organized a food relief program in Ibadan on December 18, which resulted in the deaths of 35 children.
The two, along with a school principal, were arraigned before an Oyo State Magistrate Court in connection with the incident. The program, intended to provide food relief, turned deadly when a crowd surged uncontrollably, causing the tragic loss of life.
Both Naomi and Hazmat are facing serious charges related to the event, and the court's decision to remand them in custody follows the ongoing investigation into the incident.
