Victor Osimhen criticized Galatasaray’s performance after their 3-3 draw with Dynamo Kyiv in the Europa League. Despite scoring, Osimhen’s missed chances and defensive lapses allowed Dynamo to equalize. The Turkish champions now face a decisive match against Ajax to secure knockout stage qualification. Osimhen urged the team to learn and improve.
Victor Osimhen, Super Eagles striker, expressed disappointment following Galatasaray’s dramatic 3-3 draw with Dynamo Kyiv at Rams Park. Despite scoring in the second half, Osimhen missed several chances, and his team struggled defensively, allowing Dynamo to equalize with Andriy Yarmolenko’s brace.
Galatasaray initially led 2-0 through goals from Davinson Sanchez and Abdulkerim Bardakci, only to concede before halftime. Osimhen’s goal made it 3-1, but the Turkish champions faltered in the final stages, surrendering their lead. Reflecting on the match, Osimhen admitted that collective errors cost the team vital points.
“We’re all disappointed. Mistakes from everyone, myself included, made the difference. Dynamo Kyiv fought hard and capitalized on our lapses. Now, we must take responsibility, learn, and focus on upcoming matches,” he said via Galatasaray Harber.
The draw extends Galatasaray’s winless streak to two games in the Europa League, leaving their qualification hopes hinging on their final group-stage match against Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Osimhen called for better teamwork, emphasizing the importance of understanding and improved decision-making in critical moments.
