Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has unveiled plans to unveil a comprehensive forensic audit report that allegedly exposes his predecessor, Okezie Ikpeazu, for diverting substantial state funds.
Otti revealed during a media interaction dubbed "Governor Alex Otti Speaks to Abians" that the audit findings suggest that approximately N10 billion designated for the airport project was funneled into 32 different company accounts.
The revelation comes amidst growing concerns about financial mismanagement within the state administration. Otti emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in governance, stressing that the public deserves to know the truth behind the alleged financial irregularities.
Additionally, Otti addressed the recent surge in defections from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, expressing confidence in his administration's ability to deliver effective governance regardless of political affiliations. He underscored his commitment to empowering women and fostering socio-economic development across the state.
