Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries advises against receiving money from senior pastors, urging believers to sow into their lives instead to attract blessings and prosperity. He highlights this principle through his commitment to giving, sparking discussions about faith-based financial practices and their role in Nigerian churches.

Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries has advised against receiving financial support from senior pastors, asserting that it diminishes one’s blessings. In a widely circulated video, Ibiyeomie emphasized the scriptural principle of sowing into the lives of senior ministers as a pathway to divine prosperity and spiritual growth.

He shared his commitment to this principle, noting that he has never sought financial assistance from his spiritual mentor, Bishop David Oyedepo, despite facing challenges. “It may be hard, but never collect money from a senior man of God. You are reducing your blessing,” Ibiyeomie told his congregation.

The pastor encouraged members to adopt the practice of giving to their spiritual leaders as a means of drawing virtue for advancement. “Don’t collect money from a senior man; sow into their lives to draw blessings for your next level,” he advised.

This teaching sparked varied reactions on social media, with some users questioning the church’s focus on financial transactions rather than the gospel's message. Others shared personal experiences of attending churches abroad that emphasize love and grace rather than monetary contributions.
