Former Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, has reaffirmed that his tenure with the team has concluded, following the expiration of his contract in February. Addressing rumors of a potential return to manage the Nigerian national team, Peseiro emphasized that his work with the Super Eagles is complete and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to coach such talented players.
During his 22-month tenure, Peseiro led the team to a commendable second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
With the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) declaring the position of Super Eagles head coach vacant, several prominent coaches, including Emmanuel Amuneke, Sunday Oliseh, and Antonio Conceicao, have reportedly applied for the role, signaling an impending transition for the national team.
