Governors from Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered in Kaduna on Monday to visit former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence.

The delegation, operating under the banner of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), was led by the Forum's chairman and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma. After the meeting, Uzodinma said the group came to offer Sallah greetings and celebrate Buhari’s successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

He described the visit as a gesture of "respect, loyalty, and appreciation" for Buhari’s leadership and legacy, emphasizing that the APC remains committed to the values of good governance that Buhari promoted during his time in office.

According to Uzodinma, the governors also used the opportunity to extend their best wishes to Buhari as he settled into his newly renovated Kaduna home.

Several governors were part of the delegation, including those from Gombe, Kaduna, Kwara, Nasarawa, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Edo, Kogi, Ondo, Ekiti, and Benue States.

The Deputy Governor of Jigawa State and the Minister of Budget and National Planning were also present at the gathering.
