Despite interest from NFF officials and former Nigerian star Jay-Jay Okocha, Mosimane cited emotional ties amid Nigeria's rivalry with South Africa in World Cup qualifiers.
Currently, Portuguese coach Antonio Conceicao is linked to a technical role at NFF.
