Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has expressed dissatisfaction with the Court of Appeal's decision to nullify his election, claiming he was not given a fair hearing during the process. Mutfwang presented eight crucial points to the Court of Appeal to establish the validity of his election, but only one was considered.
The governor argued that dismissing the other seven issues went against the Supreme Court's directive for intermediate courts to address all presented matters. Seeking justice, Mutfwang has appealed to the Supreme Court, urging it to declare him the validly elected governor of the state.
The Supreme Court is set to hear his case on Tuesday. Mutfwang contends that the dismissal of multiple issues without due consideration of the evidence has rendered the proceedings null and void. He maintains that a fair hearing was denied, and the Supreme Court should overturn the decision of the Court of Appeal.
The governor, supported by a team of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, emphasized that the law requires a remedy for any wrong, urging the apex court to uphold his appeal and reinstate him as the duly elected governor of Plateau State
