Following the incident, Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Sani, visited the scene, reassuring the public that security forces remain committed to combating criminal activities. He described the attack as an act of desperation by criminals facing intense security operations.
This violent incident comes just a day after security forces neutralized two suspected bandits in the region. Efforts to obtain a response from the Kebbi Customs Command have so far been unsuccessful.
