The Nigeria Police Force has declared British national Andrew Wynne wanted for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu. Wynne and his Nigerian associate, Ehis Obinyan, are accused of establishing a network to incite violence against the government, violating Nigeria's Terrorism (Prevention) Act of 2011.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has officially declared Andrew Wynne, a British national, wanted for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu. The announcement was made during a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, where police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi outlined the serious allegations against Wynne and his local accomplice, Ehis Obinyan.

According to Adejobi, Wynne is accused of establishing a "network of sleeper cells" aimed at destabilizing the Nigerian government. He reportedly rented a space at the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) headquarters in Abuja, where he set up the “Iva Valley Bookshop” and established “STARS of Nations Schools” as a façade for his subversive operations.

Evidence gathered during the investigation suggests that Wynne was actively involved in orchestrating efforts to execute an unconstitutional regime change in Nigeria. He allegedly issued directives to his collaborators and mobilized significant financial resources to facilitate these activities. The police report indicated that he encouraged his Nigerian associates to incite public violence against police stations and military bases, aiming to create chaos that could draw international condemnation against the Nigerian government.

Adejobi emphasized that these actions contravene the Terrorism (Prevention) Act of 2011 and other pertinent laws. Following the start of investigations, Wynne reportedly fled Nigeria. Both Wynne and his local coordinator, Ehis Obinyan, are now subjects of a global manhunt as authorities seek to bring them to justice.
