Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has criticized the current season of Big Brother Naija, claiming it lacks the entertainment value of previous editions. Despite extensive promotion, he believes this year's housemates have failed to engage viewers.
In a post on his Instagram story, Portable expressed his dissatisfaction, stating, "Big Brother [Naija] no sweet again like before. All these people [housemates] no blow, make then pay me 100m I go use cruise finish them. Dr Zeh." He called for the organizers to award him the N100 million grand prize from the recently concluded season, implying that he could rejuvenate the show’s appeal.
Portable also humorously noted the end of the show, asking, “So na today BIG BROTHER show finish lol…. So who was the winner? Did you watch the show?” His comments come on the heels of the announcement that housemate Kingsley Oritsetimeyin, known as Kellyrae, won Big Brother Naija Season 9, “No Loose Guard,” beating out eight other finalists for a total of N60 million, an SUV, and additional prizes.
The finale showcased participants such as Wanni, Victoria, and Ozee, but Portable’s remarks indicate a broader concern about the show's waning popularity among fans. His bold suggestions reflect his belief that the series needs a shake-up to regain its former glory.
