President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Olasupo Olusi as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Industry (BOI), as disclosed by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity). This appointment is initially for a four-year term.
The decision to appoint Olusi follows the voluntary resignation of the former BOI Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Olukayode Pitan.
Dr. Olusi boasts a wealth of experience, having served as a World Bank economist and development finance expert for over two decades. He also has a history of working as an economic adviser to the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance.
This move reflects President Tinubu's commitment to ensuring effective leadership and expertise in key financial institutions, with a focus on strengthening the nation's economic development and financial sectors.
