He reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to achieving universal energy access and highlighted the nation's leadership in Africa’s energy sector. At the summit, Tinubu endorsed the Dar es Salaam Energy Declaration alongside other African leaders.
The summit was co-hosted by the Tanzanian government, the African Union, the African Development Bank Group, and the World Bank Group. The president was welcomed by key government officials upon his arrival.
