Dada Olusegun, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, has downplayed concerns over President Tinubu's brief slip while boarding a parade vehicle during the June 12 Democracy Day celebration in Abuja.

In a post on his X handle on Wednesday, Olusegun stated, “Mr President missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped. It was a mild misstep. He immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds. No issues.”

This statement followed the circulation of videos showing President Tinubu momentarily losing his footing as he stepped into the vehicle. Despite the brief stumble, the President quickly regained his balance and continued with the event's proceedings without further incident.

The Special Adviser's swift response aimed to reassure the public about the President's health and capability to perform his duties. Olusegun's clarification helped mitigate any concerns raised by the video, emphasizing that the incident was minor and did not impact the overall success of the Democracy Day celebrations.
