Reality star Whitemoney faces backlash for claiming to have 150 staff paid 5 years in advance. Nigerians doubt the logistics, and finances behind the alleged arrangement.

Reality TV star Whitemoney has sparked controversy online after claiming he has around 150 staff members whom he pays five years in advance. The startling revelation came during a recent episode of the Echo Room podcast.

When asked by the host if the rumors of him paying staff several years upfront were true, Whitemoney confirmed it, stating, "It is true, I operate on that system because it helps me get my mind off things because I am a multi-versatile person. I do a lot of things, and I can easily get carried away."

The interviewer then inquired about the exact number of staff he employs, to which Whitemoney nonchalantly responded, "Currently 150."

The claim of paying 150 employees five years in advance almost immediately drew backlash and skepticism from viewers. Many found the logistics and finances behind such an arrangement virtually impossible for Whitemoney to realistically maintain.

One user calculated that if each staff member earned the minimum wage of ₦30,000 per month, paying 150 people five years upfront would amount to a staggering ₦270 million, questioning if Whitemoney could truly afford such an exorbitant sum.

Others dismissed his statement as an outright lie, with comments like "Whitemoney with white lies" and "BBN bandits terrorizing us with lie" flooding social media. The reactions highlighted the public's doubts about the truthfulness of his claims.

A few defended Whitemoney, suggesting he may have simply misspoken or exaggerated, though the overwhelming sentiment was one of disbelief and criticism towards the reality star's supposed employment practices.
