Rihanna celebrated A$AP Rocky’s acquittal in his felony assault case, praising God for the verdict. The rapper, accused of firing a semiautomatic weapon, faced up to 24 years in prison. Overcome with emotion, he thanked the jury and shared a cautionary message online. Rihanna supported him throughout the trial.

Rihanna has expressed gratitude following A$AP Rocky’s acquittal in his felony assault trial. Moments after the verdict was delivered on Tuesday, the singer took to social media, writing in all caps, "The Glory belongs to God and God alone. THANKFUL, HUMBLED BY HIS MERCY!"

Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, had been facing serious charges after being accused of firing a semiautomatic weapon at former A$AP Mob associate A$AP Relli in November 2021. If convicted, he could have received a 24-year prison sentence.

Following the decision at the Los Angeles courthouse, Rocky, 36, broke down in tears, embracing Rihanna and his loved ones. “Thank y’all for saving my life. Thank y’all for making the right decision,” he told the jury.

During a post-trial statement, the rapper credited his faith, saying, “I gotta thank God first. This has been a crazy four years, but I’m grateful and blessed to be here as a free man.”

Rocky later took to X (formerly Twitter), posting a short message: “DON’T BE DUMB.” The statement appeared to be a warning to others to learn from his experience.

Throughout the trial, Rihanna had been present in court, sometimes accompanied by their two sons, RZA and Riot. Prosecutors criticized her attendance, but the judge ultimately dismissed concerns, stating that Rihanna’s presence should not be a factor in the case.

Rocky’s legal team maintained that the case was financially motivated, insisting that the alleged firearm was merely a prop.
