In a recent appearance on Channels Television's Politics Today, Enemi George, a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, reiterated the commitment of the 27 lawmakers who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
George emphasized that there is no turning back for the legislators who joined the APC to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu on his Renewed Hope Agenda. Addressing the controversy surrounding Governor Siminalayi Fubara's signing of the eight-point resolution at the Presidential Villa, George clarified that the governor did sign the document and expressed commitment to the agreed terms.
The political crisis in Rivers State continues to escalate amid the ongoing rift between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
