Amidst ongoing political tensions in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has once again targeted his former benefactor, Nyesom Wike's camp, asserting his stance on the purported list of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee members for the State circulating on social media.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony of an automobile spare parts market in Port Harcourt, Fubara dismissed the list as fake and vowed to continue making Wike's camp restless. He clarified that the extension of the Executive Councils of PDP for three months does not imply the introduction of new names or working without the Governor's authority.
Fubara emphasized that the list circulating online is the work of desperate individuals seeking media attention and assured that they would not prevail. He further announced a forthcoming NEC meeting to ratify the decision. Fubara's remarks reflect the ongoing power struggle within the PDP in Rivers State and hint at the intensification of political rivalries in the region.
