Nollywood actress Ronke Odusanya recently opened up about how accusations from a close friend contributed to the end of her marriage to Saheed Olarewaju, also known as Jago. In a conversation with fellow actress Bimpe Akintunde, Odusanya revealed that her friend had spread damaging falsehoods, including claims that she planned to leave her husband and enter prostitution. The friend further alleged that Odusanya was romantically involved with a senator and had taken her daughter, Fife, to spend the night at the senator’s residence.
Shocked by these accusations, Odusanya felt compelled to gather proof of her whereabouts, documenting her location and time-stamped moments with her daughter to clarify the situation. Despite presenting this evidence to her husband, the damage to their relationship was done, leaving her emotionally and financially strained. “When we left, I didn’t have up to N10,000 in my account… all my jewelry was taken away,” she shared, adding that finding new accommodations was a challenge.
Odusanya recounted that Jago eventually came to regret believing the friend’s accusations, acknowledging the harm caused by misplaced trust. The actress’s experience highlights the lasting impact that betrayal and unfounded rumors can have on personal relationships and financial stability.
