Activist Harrison Gwamnishu faces threats after police declare him an enemy, citing past charges. He disputes allegations and warns of setup attempts.
Harrison Gwamnishu, a prominent human rights activist associated with Behind Bars Initiative, has raised alarm after discovering his photo and details were circulated in a police WhatsApp group, declaring him an enemy of the force.
The message warned officers nationwide to treat him with caution, alleging past criminal charges of armed robbery and kidnapping, claims Gwamnishu denies. He asserts these actions are retaliation for his advocacy against police misconduct and support for justice reform.
The Delta State Police Command responded, urging him to disregard the message as they investigate the incident.
