Chief Whip of the Senate, Mohammed Ali Ndume, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sign an Executive Order aimed at curbing the rise of unexplained wealth in Nigeria.
Commending Tinubu's recent directive to deposit crude oil revenues into the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Ndume emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to combat corruption.
He called on the President to expand the executive order to include a thorough investigation into the sources of wealth for individuals, particularly within the political class.
Ndume stressed the importance of focusing on national issues and promoting transparency in the face of a growing trend of sudden wealth among influential figures.
