Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau have expressed deep sorrow over the death of Ifeanyi Ubah, the Senator representing Anambra South. Ubah, aged 52, passed away in London. He served as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream).

Akpabio, in a message from his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, highlighted Ubah's dedication to democracy and his significant contributions to the National Assembly.

He described Ubah as a hardworking legislator committed to justice and equity, noting that his death leaves a significant void.

Similarly, Barau, through his Special Adviser, Ismail Mudashir, praised Ubah's patriotism and his efforts to improve the living standards in his constituency and beyond. He emphasized Ubah's role in the Senate, sports, and business, noting his contributions to addressing national challenges.

The Southern Senators Forum, in a statement by Chairman Adetokunbo Abiru, mourned Ubah, acknowledging his business acumen and legislative achievements. They highlighted his impact on Anambra State and his entrepreneurial ventures that benefited the economy.

Both leaders and the forum extended their condolences to Ubah's family, friends, constituents, and the people of Anambra State, acknowledging his legacy and contributions to Nigeria.
