Senator Ndume labels Daniel Bwala a political liability, criticizing his recent allegations and questioning his authenticity. Ndume advises President Tinubu to be wary of Bwala’s motives amid ongoing political tensions.
Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume has criticized Daniel Bwala, a former member of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who recently joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's camp, labeling him as a potential political liability. Ndume's comments come after Bwala accused him of planning to incite violence in his local government area, Hawul, which Ndume represents.
In a recent statement, Ndume addressed Bwala’s allegations, expressing disappointment that Bwala claims to be from Hawul while lacking genuine ties to the community. Ndume emphasized that his criticism of the current administration's policies, which he aired in an Arise TV interview, was not intended to insult President Tinubu but to address issues affecting Nigerians.
Ndume described Bwala as a “failed lawyer” and “empty drum,” accusing him of seeking sympathy and police protection from President Tinubu. He further denounced Bwala’s attempts to paint the Hawul community as violent, asserting that such portrayals are inconsistent with the community’s character.
The senator also recounted Bwala's previous affiliations and criticisms of Tinubu, underscoring that Bwala’s shift in allegiance and subsequent accusations might be part of a strategy to gain political favor. Ndume urged Tinubu to exercise caution regarding Bwala’s motives and referred to him metaphorically as a “mad dog” that could turn against its allies.
