Shehu Sani responds to Nasir el-Rufai’s criticism of Uba Sani, accusing him of sycophancy toward President Tinubu. Sani refutes claims of financial motivation, pointing out el-Rufai’s lack of transparency in handling state funds. He argues that el-Rufai’s criticism stems from past political betrayals.

Shehu Sani, former senator for Kaduna Central, has responded to Nasir el-Rufai’s harsh criticism of Uba Sani, the current governor of Kaduna State. El-Rufai accused Sani of sycophancy toward President Bola Tinubu, alleging that Sani’s support was motivated by the N150 billion in reimbursements received by the state from the federal government.

However, Sani fired back, questioning the motives behind el-Rufai's political loyalty. He pointed out that during el-Rufai’s tenure, large sums of money were allocated to the state from the World Bank and federal government without being disclosed to the public. Sani suggested that Uba Sani’s approach might have been influenced by his predecessor, accusing el-Rufai of setting a precedent of secrecy and financial manipulation.

Sani further suggested that if Uba Sani’s loyalty to Tinubu was financially driven, then it could be inferred that el-Rufai’s support for former President Buhari was based on similar financial interests.
