The husband, Caleb, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, was reportedly accused by his wife of having an extramarital affair. Their frequent arguments escalated into a deadly confrontation on the fateful day.

Eyewitnesses recounted that the wife, in a fit of rage, attacked her husband with a knife, inflicting severe injuries on his private parts. In retaliation, Caleb, despite being gravely wounded, fought back using a machete, leading to fatal injuries for both of them.
