The househelp of Nick Imudia, former CEO of Nigerian e-commerce giant Konga, has shared details of her last conversation with him before his untimely death. According to a close friend of Imudia who spoke with Vanguard on condition of anonymity, the maid, whose name has been withheld, revealed that Imudia handed her a piece of paper containing five telephone numbers, including that of his brother in the United States, just a day before his death.

The maid recounted that Imudia instructed her to keep the numbers as she might need them soon. Following this, he went to take a shower. After noticing the shower running for an unusually long time, she knocked on the bathroom door but received no response and left.

Moments later, the private guard alerted her to check on Imudia. She rushed downstairs to find him in a dire state. She then returned upstairs to find the shower still running but the bathroom empty.

The family of Nick Imudia has requested the release of his body for burial and has issued a statement ruling out suicide as the cause of his death. They asserted that Imudia showed no signs of stress or depression prior to his demise.

The State Criminal Investigative Department in Yaba, Lagos, has taken over the investigation.
