Esther Adaidu, the sister of 24-year-old Salome Eleojo Adaidu, has denied any knowledge of a romantic relationship between her late sister and the suspect, Timileyin Ajayi. Ajayi, a cryptocurrency trader, claimed he murdered Salome because she had cheated on him, but Esther expressed shock at the brutal murder.

Salome, a former member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), was killed by Ajayi in Nasarawa State and dismembered into over 50 pieces, which were found in several polythene bags. Esther stated that the family had never met Ajayi before the tragic incident, adding that they had learned of his involvement in the crime from the police.

Salome’s uncle, Samson Adaji Adaidu, expressed the family’s grief, describing the horrific nature of the crime. He called for justice to be served, emphasizing how the killer had "butchered" Salome in a gruesome manner.

The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, assured the public that the investigation was ongoing. He promised that Ajayi would face prosecution once the investigation is completed and emphasized that anyone with further complaints about him should come forward.

Ajayi has been remanded in custody while awaiting further investigation. The family continues to demand justice for Salome’s murder.
