In a recent press briefing, the council of Fulani chiefs in Nigeria’s southwest region announced its commitment to a ban on several practices among herders. The resolutions, which were announced by Mohammed Bambado, the Sarki Fulani of Lagos and chairman of the council, aim to reduce conflicts between herders and farmers.
