Presidential aide Khadijat Omotayo has urged Nigerians to stop attacking President Bola Tinubu over the removal of fuel subsidies, emphasizing that the policy aims to benefit all citizens. Speaking at a town hall meeting in Plateau State, Omotayo defended Tinubu’s administration, highlighting economic reforms and salary increments for workers.
She noted that savings from subsidy removal have been allocated to states and urged citizens to hold their representatives accountable rather than directing frustrations solely at the president. Omotayo also encouraged students to take advantage of the government’s new loan scheme, stressing that repayment terms are designed to ease financial burdens.
