Super Eagles duo Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi trained with Kano Pillars ahead of their NPFL Matchday 5 clash against Sunshine Stars. The ex-Kano Pillars players, both free agents, are expected to boost the team's performance as they prepare for the 2024/25 NPFL season.
Super Eagles stars Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi have been seen training with Kano Pillars ahead of their upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 5 clash against Sunshine Stars. The two footballers were spotted at the team's training ground, preparing with their former club for the match this weekend.
Ahmed Musa, who played for Kano Pillars during the 2009/10 season and briefly rejoined them in 2021, recently parted ways with Turkish club Sivasspor earlier this year. Shehu Abdullahi, who also had a stint with Kano Pillars in 2012, has been a free agent since January 2023.
Although it remains unclear if Musa and Abdullahi have officially signed with the club again, they are both eligible to rejoin as free agents despite the closure of the NPFL summer transfer window. Kano Pillars confirmed the presence of the two players during training via their social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), along with other squad members like Nazir Laja.
The involvement of the Super Eagles duo has sparked excitement among fans as Kano Pillars look to strengthen their squad for the 2024/25 NPFL season. The team will face Sunshine Stars in a crucial home game as they aim to climb the league standings.
