The club, set to make its MLS debut in 2025, announced Tems' involvement through her company, The Leading Vibe. She joins a distinguished group of investors, including actress Issa Rae, World Cup winner Juan Mata, and baseball star Manny Machado.
San Diego FC Chairman Sir Mohamed Mansour expressed excitement over Tems' inclusion, emphasizing her global influence and deep ties to Africa through the Right to Dream initiative. CEO Tom Penn highlighted her passion for empowering young talent, aligning with the club’s vision of merging culture and sport to inspire communities.
Tems, a Grammy-winning artist known for hits like Love Me JeJe and Wait for U, has made a global impact with her music.
