President Bola Tinubu appoints Adeladan Olarinre and Mukhtar Muhammed as permanent secretaries to fill federal vacancies. The selections follow a merit-based process, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to transparency and excellence in public service.
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of two new permanent secretaries to address vacancies in the Federal Civil Service. The appointees, Adeladan Olarinre and Mukhtar Muhammed, will represent Oyo State and the North-West geopolitical zone, respectively. The announcement was made by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF) in a statement released on Wednesday.
The selection process emphasized transparency and merit, aligning with the administration’s commitment to fostering excellence and professionalism in public service. The new permanent secretaries are expected to bring their expertise to their roles, contributing to improved service delivery and supporting the government’s development goals.
This appointment follows similar moves in December 2024, when eight permanent secretaries were named to fill vacancies across states such as Abia, Bayelsa, and Kaduna. Earlier, in June 2024, eight others were appointed from regions including Akwa Ibom, Anambra, and Zamfara.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, praised President Tinubu for his dedication to strengthening the civil service through transparent and merit-based appointments. She reiterated that these efforts are part of a broader strategy to build a competent and efficient public service that meets the needs of Nigerians.
The latest appointments highlight the administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance and ensure effective service delivery across the country.
