President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will travel to the United Arab Emirates on Saturday to participate in the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW). The annual event, running from January 12 to 18, serves as a global platform for advancing discussions on sustainability and fostering international cooperation.
Hosted under the patronage of UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the summit convenes policymakers, industry leaders, and global experts to address pressing environmental challenges and promote sustainable development. Tinubu is expected to highlight Nigeria's ongoing reforms in energy, transportation, public health, and economic growth during the event.
According to a statement from the presidency, the summit has a history of facilitating impactful partnerships and agreements aimed at driving global progress in clean energy and sustainable practices. Tinubu’s participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to these objectives.
During his visit, Tinubu will meet with UAE leaders to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and addressing mutual interests. Accompanying him on the trip are Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar and other top officials.
The president is scheduled to return to Nigeria on January 16 after what promises to be a significant engagement on global sustainability and cooperation.
